You need to be careful of what you buy. Some items are overpriced. They charge you for using a credit card. You don't know this until you're at the register to pay.
Cart jammed full of groceries for $118 isn't necessarily an easy thing to do in the present day/age however I did it at Horning's a week ago. Just never know what they'll have however a little searching and you'll find some marvelous deals. Some items are getting close to/past the best-by dates however that doesn't bother me. A couple years ago, grabbed a bunch of potato chips (big bags for $.75/each) and forgot about a few of them until nearly 6 months later. They were packaged in the Mylar (shiny inside) bags. Popped them open and they were crisp and tasty. Their deli is also almost always very busy. Been a favorite discount grocery store of mine for several years. Cash/debit cards for the win since there's a service charge using credit.

Very nice store, good selection good prices. My only complaint is that you have to purchase a minimum of 1/2 pound of lunch meat, and as a senior I can't use that much-and refuse to waste food. Please change your policy on this so seniors can also benefit from your great prices.
I spend my summers in Rehrersburg, PA with my family, and this Horning's in Bethel is the only place I shop for the entire season. I don't understand how they stay in business; the prices are unreal. I get excited to go. If you're in the area, please stop in! Your mind will be blown.
I want to thank your staff for always being friendly and helpful. Today, specifically, I apologized for being slow because I'd had surgery. The lady who bagged my groceries insisted on walking me out and helping load my groceries into my vehicle. I can't thank you enough. I was being stubborn and really did need the help. I cried on the way home. Knowing there are such kind folks who don't expect anything in return really brightened my day today. Thank you kindly.
